Frequency Domain Stability Assessment of Photovoltaic Power Generation Systems with Quasi-Z-Source Inverters

Photovoltaic power generation systems are one of the main renewable sources, and quasi-Z-source inverters becoming powerful devices to integrate these in AC grids. However, stability issues due damping behaviour converters must be considered. There several studies this direction but instability concerns not completely solved yet. This paper contributes with a procedure for assessment photovoltaic quasiZ-source frequency domain. The study is based on small-signal averaged model system expressed s-domain criterion derived from characteristics state-space matrix. influence operating point studied by proposed procedure. Eigenvalue analysis PSCAD/EMTDC simulations also performed validate obtained results.
